The Slavia 631 LUX is notorious for being delivered without proper lubrication. This example was no exception. There were hardly any traces of lubricants visible.

Another issue with the Slavia's is the poor fit of the rear spring guide. This one had 0,5 mm of tolerance between the spring and the guide. Because the spring guide is made of some rolled up sheet metal, it is quit easy to extend the diameter of the guide. I managed to get a very tight fit and therefore a twang free shot.

The trigger needs adjustment because the Slavia is being delivered with the highest possible trigger pull the gun will allow. This is standard for all Slavia's.

WARNING: do not adjust any trigger pressure at such a low pull weight that it becomes dangerous and the gun can discharge on it's own !!!

My method of checking if the pressure is too low, and therefore dangerous, is to hit the rear end of the gun pretty hard with a small rubber hammer. If the gun does not discharge after hitting it with the hammer I consider it still safe. Be sure to point the gun in a safe direction before using this method.
